- The Bradley University Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) provides opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities, professional development, engineering competitions, and much more. ASCE offers activities and events that encourage students to develop their leadership skills and help prepare them for a fulfilling future career.
- ANY student can become a member of Bradley's ASCE chapter and participate in the many exciting things the organization has to offer. The student chapter annually participates in the ASCE Western Great Lakes Symposium which includes competitions such as the concrete canoe (yes... we mix concrete, form a canoe, and race it - and yes... they float!), steel bridge (bridge design, fabrication, timed build, and strength testing), quiz bowl, materials design, and more! It is a jam-packed weekend where friendships are formed, fun is had, and students discover their full potential.
- In addition to the meetings and events, we invite professional speakers to campus to make presentations on engineering projects and provide opportunities for networking with the professional ASCE chapter. We also offer many positions for students to develop leadership skills by being a part of the ASCE executive committee - this chapter is run and managed by students. ASCE members enjoy friendship, networking, real-world engineering applications, and fun. The more a member gets involved, the more fun they have!
